About: Sanjay Pal, a 2004 graduate of IIT Roorkee, started helping and financing underprivileged students in 2006. He teamed up with like-minded people to organise Roorkee’s first education mega fest, Pathshala to Profession, in 2008, helping more than 8,000 kids of the city. Building on the success of the education mega fest, he teamed up with Anand Prakash Yogashram Trust to provide consultation (not for profit) in establishing Sansar Gyan Pathshala, a climate-friendly school at Uttarakhand-UP border. It now serves more than 700 students free of cost. In 2014, he teamed up with the Principal of a Government Primary School in the remote area of District Haridwar in setting up the first computer lab providing IT training to students. Building on these small joys of helping the underprivileged kids and his passion for education, he formally set up Ullas Charitable Trust in 2023, along with like-minded people, to work in sectors such as Education, Culture, and Environment.
